Bring your design-build expertise to a fast-paced, mission-driven construction environment with nationally recognized sports-facility work and a strong Midwest reputation. In this Design Build Integrator opportunity, you’ll help protect cost, quality, and schedule from sale and pricing through design coordination and buyout—so projects enter the field fully de-risked. Based in St. Louis, MO, you’ll operate as a technical and commercial authority alongside cross-functional partners across the division.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Design Build Integrator position include:
- 10+ years of progressive design and construction experience, including design-discipline coordination on design-build or alternative-delivery projects, with hands-on field experience
- Review plans and specifications for accuracy, cost, quality, and constructability; identify scope gaps early
- Own design coordination from pursuit through closeout, partnering with internal engineering and external design partners
- Select, scope, negotiate, and manage external design/engineering partners, including design-assist terms and deliverable schedules
- Prepare and administer design build subcontracts, including scope, terms, and risk transfer with Estimating and Project Management
- Enforce the buyout gate so no project advances to construction without coordinated documents, closed scope, defined cost ownership, and a validated buy
- Identify and quantify design-phase cost savings (materials, systems, alternatives, sequencing, site/earthwork optimization) without compromising safety or durability
- Coordinate permitting and regulatory requirements, track submissions through review, and escalate delays that threaten construction start dates
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
