Description
A stable, tight-knit commercial HVAC company is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician in New York City, NY to support service and maintenance work across the five boroughs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a flexible, hands-on team with consistent commercial service contracts, strong job stability, and the chance to work on a diverse range of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial HVAC Service Technician position include:
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience preferred; strong candidates with 3-4 years may be considered depending on background.
- EPA 608 Certification required, with FDNY Firewatch G60/F60 certifications preferred but not required.
- Diagnose, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Perform retrofit work on existing systems, with no new construction installation required.
- Work on commercial equipment including PTAC units, VRF systems, high-tonnage AHUs, hot water coils, and similar systems.
- Complete approximately 3 service calls per day across assigned locations throughout all five NYC boroughs.
- Maintain accurate service records through a mobile CRM system and communicate effectively with dispatch and the internal team.
- Valid driver’s license required, along with strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and customer service skills.
Salary: $35 - $42 per hour, commensurate with experience.
