Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Machinist (5-Axis / Setup / Prototype) position include:
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience (10+ years preferred).
- Experience performing complete machine setups with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency operating 5-axis CNC machines.
- Prototype and low-volume production machining experience.
- Ability to hold tight tolerances within a few thousandths.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and process documentation while troubleshooting machining issues and optimizing setups.
- Mastercam experience highly preferred; Haas milling, Fanuc controls, composite machining, and Mazak experience are all considered a plus.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, training programs, and maintain high-quality machining standards while working independently.
Salary: $33–$42/hour, commensurate with experience. Exceptional candidates earning above this range may still be considered.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including two weeks of PTO to start with increases over time, a structured online and shop-floor training program to support advancement into higher-level machining roles, a first-shift schedule with flexible start times between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM, a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, and overtime opportunities as needed.
