Build your career with a precision-focused manufacturing group in Surprise, AZ, where custom carbide cutting tools are made for demanding industries. This 5-Axis CNC Operator role supports high-precision production using advanced CNC tool grinding equipment and programs.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this 5-Axis CNC Grinder Operator position include:
- Previous 5-Axis CNC Setup / Operator experience is preferred
- Ability to accurately read blueprints
- Strong math skills, including converting metric to inch and decimal to fraction
- Responsible for the setup and offsets as required
- Inspect tools for defects using quality control tools
- Responsible for accurate programming and machine operation
- Communicates quality issues to programmers and/or General Manager
- Check machinery on a daily basis to ensure functionality
Salary: $30-$38/hr, commensurate with experience plus bonus opportunity
Benefits: This role includes PTO starting around 80 hours with accrual-based eligibility (usable after 90 days), and flexibility up to about 3 weeks for strong candidates. Retirement benefits include a 401k with 100% match on the first 3% and 50% on the next 2%, plus pre-tax and Roth IRA options. HSA includes 100% match on employee contributions up to the IRS limit. Insurance includes medical (United Health Group, HMR), dental & vision, voluntary life insurance, and additional coverage such as STD/LTD and bereavement leave. An annual bonus up to 7% is paid once per year at end of year based on targets.
