In this Human Resources Manager opportunity in Greenville, South Carolina, you’ll lead recruiting, employee relations, HR administration, and culture-building as a hands-on one-person HR function supporting continued growth.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Human Resource Manager position include:
- Prior human resources experience within the construction industry.
- Independently manage multiple HR functions, including recruiting and hiring across field, craft, shop, administrative, and leadership roles.
- Own recruiting and workforce planning by building candidate pipelines, managing job postings and sourcing, screening, interview coordination, references, offers, and pre-employment requirements.
- Serve as a visible culture leader by partnering with executive and operational leadership to reinforce mission, values, engagement, accountability, and a consistent employee experience.
- Handle employee relations responsibilities, including advising management, conducting and documenting investigations when necessary, and coordinating disciplinary actions and employment changes.
- Manage the employee lifecycle from recruiting and onboarding through separation, including onboarding/offboarding processes, personnel records, and exit interviews.
- Maintain HR policies and compliance by administering the employee handbook, updating policies, monitoring employment requirements, and supporting audits.
- Establish scalable HR procedures, build HR systems and metrics, and support workforce planning, retention initiatives, and training and development needs.
Salary: $90,000-$110,000 per year.
Benefits: Medical insurance is 70% paid for employees, a 401(k) is offered with 6% company match, there is an end-of-year discretionary bonus, 3 weeks PTO, and 7 paid holidays.
