Description
Bring your aerospace metrology expertise to a growing, climate-controlled CNC manufacturing environment in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. In this CMM Programmer and Operator role, you’ll help turn complex aerospace drawings and CAD models into reliable inspection programs while supporting engineering and manufacturing with clear, accurate reporting at every step.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CMM Programmer & Operator position include:
- At least 2 years of aerospace industry experience, including recent aerospace CNC machine shop experience.
- Demonstrated ability to create and edit automated CMM programs offline and support the inspection schedule.
- Proficiency with PC-DMIS software, including the ability to program and operate CMM equipment.
- Advanced blueprint reading, shop math, and GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5.
- Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, digital models, planning documents, and specifications to determine inspection requirements.
- Knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment (surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, dial indicators) and CMM/scanners.
- Ability to analyze measurement results, document nonconforming conditions, and provide comprehensive reports to Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Review and critique AS9102 First Article Inspection reports, including performing manual dimensional checks when needed to verify questionable results.
Salary: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour.
