Bring your field leadership to a mission-driven construction team delivering critical government facility work across the country. In this Traveling Assistant Superintendent / Field Superintendent opportunity in Laredo, Texas, you’ll help drive a major aircraft maintenance hangar project toward completion while coordinating trades in a predominantly Spanish-speaking environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Traveling Assistant Superintendent/Field Superintendent position include:
- Strong construction experience is required, with approximately 10 years preferred (industrial or federal project experience ideal).
- Fluent English/Spanish communication skills to direct subcontractors and coordinate effectively on-site.
- Coordinate and direct subcontractors, monitoring daily construction activities, quality, safety, and schedule progress.
- Support remaining scope for a large pre-engineered metal aircraft maintenance hangar, including fire suppression, electrical, and mechanical work.
- Identify field issues and communicate them promptly to project leadership to prevent errors and delays.
- Maintain field documentation and support project records, including email correspondence.
- Work closely with the on-site Superintendent and other project stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate an active construction site, including climbing and inspecting work areas; must pass a background check and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record.
Salary: $125,000 - $135,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
