Description
Make a measurable impact at a fast-growing power and data-center operation in the Penn Yan, NY/Finger Lakes area, where your work directly improves reliability, performance, and uptime. In this Facility Project Engineer opportunity, you’ll own capital and reliability projects across a natural-gas-fired steam power plant and a co-located data center, working in a hands-on, close-knit environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Facility Project Engineer position include:
- 3-7+ years of relevant plant, project, maintenance, or reliability experience (or equivalent)
- Develop and execute capital, improvement, maintenance, and carbon mitigation projects from concept through commissioning and closeout
- Lead project scoping, cost estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and track cost/schedule performance
- Manage procurement, contractors, and vendors; oversee field execution safely, correctly, and on schedule
- Serve as the heat rate/thermal-performance leader and ETAPRO SME to track, analyze, and improve unit thermal efficiency
- Oversee the high-energy piping inspection program, including scheduled inspections and compliance documentation
- Read and interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, and technical documentation to solve problems and prioritize work
- Support outage planning and execution while minimizing disruption to power generation and data-center operations
Salary: $115,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Medical insurance (company indicated it currently covers approximately 85% of the premium), a 401(k) safe-harbor match of approximately 4%, and paid time off that is negotiable based on your current package and experience. Relocation assistance is available on a case-by-case basis, and there is a performance-based annual bonus tied to agreed goals and role-specific results.
