Description

Make your mark on strategic power-generation and data-center development while working close to executive leadership in the Penn Yan, NY/Finger Lakes area. This Project Manager - Data Center opportunity blends corporate pipeline ownership with hands-on project coordination across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Project Manager - Data Center position include:

  • 4-8 years of project management or project coordination experience in power generation, data centers, utilities, construction, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Develop and maintain project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans for assigned capital and development projects.
  • Track project costs against approved budgets; prepare forecasts, manage change orders, and report variances with recommended corrective actions.
  • Coordinate contractors, engineering consultants, OEM vendors, and internal stakeholders; run project meetings, publish minutes, and drive action items to closure.
  • Administer contracts and purchase orders in coordination with procurement and finance, including bid solicitation support, scope clarification, invoice review, and closeout.
  • Identify, document, and manage project risks and issues; escalate to leadership with options and recommendations when decisions are required.
  • Support permitting, environmental, and regulatory workstreams by tracking deliverables, deadlines, and agency interactions.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards, and lookaheads to the Corporate Management Team; maintain disciplined project documentation including decision logs, change orders, meeting minutes, and closeout records.

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Benefits: Medical insurance; the company indicated it currently covers approximately 85% of the premium. 401(k) safe-harbor match of approximately 4%. Paid time off is negotiable based on the candidate's current package and experience. Travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with Company policy; relocation may be considered case by case but is not required because the role is remote-capable. Performance-based annual bonus tied to agreed goals and role-specific results.
