Qualifications and responsibilities for this Financial Accountant position include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA designation is a strong asset.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting, financial analysis, or auditing experience, preferably within construction, project-based accounting, or professional services environments.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, journal entries, general ledger accounts, financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes while ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, profitability, billing activities, cash flow, and financial performance across multiple construction projects.
- Utilize advanced QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel skills to support reporting, financial analysis, and process improvements.
- Develop financial models, dashboards, forecasts, and business analyses to support strategic initiatives and organizational growth.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff while serving as a key liaison between operational leaders, executives, auditors, banking partners, and international finance teams.
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
