Description
A modern precision manufacturing company is seeking a CNC Machinist in Hudson, MA, just 40 miles from Boston. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, well-equipped job shop producing high-mix, low-to-medium volume parts for industries such as defense, aerospace, and medical, while working with updated machines, varied materials, and a team-focused environment that supports professional growth.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Machinist position include:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident due to CMMC Level 2 certification requirements.
- 2+ years of experience as a Machinist in a machine shop or job shop environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and GD&T.
- Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machines, including mills and lathes.
- Machine parts to tight tolerances using materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless, plastics, nickel alloys, and exotic materials.
- Perform inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
- Make tooling offsets, basic program adjustments, and troubleshoot machining issues.
- CNC programming experience with G-code and CAMWorks is preferred, but not required.
Salary: $30 - $40 per hour, commensurate with experience.
