A well-established manufacturer with more than 80 years of mechanical innovation is seeking a CNC Machinist in Donalsonville, GA. Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Machinist position include:
- 3+ years of CNC machining and programming experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong experience operating and programming CNC lathes and vertical mills in a 2+ axis machining environment
- Experience with advanced turning centers, including sub-spindle and live tooling operations, is highly desirable
- Comfortable working in a shop environment with a heavier focus on lathes versus mills (approximately 60/40 mix)
- Mazatrol programming experience on Mazak T-Plus controllers strongly preferred
- Experience with SmoothG programming is a plus
- Ability to create and edit programs directly at the machine control; offline CAM software experience is not required
- Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, setups, and process optimization
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple jobs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Salary: $20-$30 per Hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 3 weeks of PTO, 401(k) matching up to 3.5% on 6%, medical, dental, and vision insurance with 80% family coverage paid by the employer, employer-paid life insurance, and an HSA contribution of $850 per year.
