A growing manufacturer of fluid handling systems and prebuilt equipment is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Norwood Young America, MN! This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, hands-on team where you’ll take ownership of product design, product improvement, and new product development for equipment used across agriculture, municipal, irrigation, mining, and industrial markets.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechanical Engineer position include:
- Strong mechanical engineering background with hands-on product design, product development, and product improvement experience.
- Experience with pumps, hoses, fluid handling systems, industrial equipment, heavy machinery, process systems, agricultural equipment, mining systems, HVAC, plumbing, or related mechanical systems preferred.
- Work directly with customers to understand fluid movement needs and develop practical engineering solutions.
- Design systems using pumps, hoses, piping, mechanical components, and fluid handling equipment.
- Take concepts from initial idea through development, implementation, and commercialization.
- Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to support customer needs and develop new products.
- Apply strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and problem-solving ability in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Support occasional trade shows or local customer visits with minimal travel required.
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
