This VP of Mechanical Engineering opportunity in Chicago, IL gives you the chance to co-lead a tight-knit office while staying hands-on with HVAC design on multifamily residential, mixed-use, and hospital projects.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this VP of Mechanical Engineering position include:
- 15+ years of professional HVAC design experience; senior PM-level candidate ready to step into VP leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical focus
- PE registration required
- Strong hands-on CAD experience (CAD required; Revit preferred) with the ability to personally support HVAC design work when needed
- In-depth understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems, including relevant codes and LEED requirements
- Participate with corporate leadership to establish and implement goals, direction, and policy
- Mentor staff to improve technical capability and production efficiency; maintain and improve quality control procedures
- Oversee project performance to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality; support client relationships and proposal activity
Salary: $175K-$225K base, with additional profitability-based bonus opportunity.
