This Senior Structural Engineer opportunity offers the chance to rebuild and lead a structural engineering department while staying deeply involved in structural calculations and design.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Structural Engineer position include:
- 15+ years of structural engineering experience (candidates with fewer years may be considered if they can operate independently, provide leadership, and rebuild and lead the structural engineering department)
- Illinois SE licensure is highly important; ability to obtain the required Illinois licensure
- Independently perform structural calculations and design for new construction and evaluation of existing structures
- Strong structural design experience with steel, concrete, precast concrete, and wood systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of live, snow, wind, and seismic code requirements
- Proficient, hands-on working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD (Revit is particularly important)
- Demonstrated leadership capability to rebuild the firm’s structural engineering department and serve as department lead
- Bring an established book of work and contribute to developing the structural engineering practice
Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
