Description
A fast-growing fitness development company in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Gym Design & Construction Project Coordinator to support the buildout of future gym locations from concept through completion. This is an exciting opportunity to join an entrepreneurial organization founded in 2017 that is rapidly expanding and offers the chance to work across gym design, construction coordination, procurement, vendor communication, and overseas manufacturing logistics.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Gym Design & Construction Project Coordinator position include:
- Coordinate gym development, remodel, and buildout projects from design through construction execution
- Work closely with architects, contractors, vendors, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to keep projects moving forward
- Assist with gym layouts, measurements, and design concepts using 3D design software
- Support procurement, purchasing, inventory tracking, shipping/logistics, and importation of gym equipment, flooring, parts, and materials
- Communicate with overseas manufacturers and suppliers, particularly in China, to track orders, repairs, and production details
- Review plans and provide practical input on gym functionality, equipment placement, and layout efficiency
- Strong organizational, communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills with the ability to wear multiple hats
- Experience in construction project coordination, facilities coordination, procurement, logistics, inventory management, CAD/design coordination, or commercial facility operations preferred
Salary: $40,000 - $80,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.
