Description
Join a rapidly growing residential remodeling company in Chicago, IL as a Residential Designer, where you will play a central role in shaping high-end bathroom, kitchen, and addition projects from start to finish. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants more than a standard design role—you will help lead design quality, guide clients through material selections and deliveries, and step into a position with the potential to run the entire design department at a company that already has more work than it can handle.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Residential Designer position include:
• 5+ years of experience in residential construction or residential design; review and oversee the work of drafters to ensure designs meet client expectations and quality standards
• Strong client-facing communication skills; serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the design process
• Experience coordinating projects from start to finish; collaborate with project managers and team members to keep projects aligned and moving forward
• Knowledge of material selection and procurement; help clients select, order, and manage delivery of materials for each project
• Ability to identify and resolve design-related issues proactively; conduct final reviews and approvals to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Familiarity with local building codes and construction practices; ensure designs comply with applicable requirements and specifications
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Chief Architect, and Adobe; support design review workflows and maintain design integrity across projects
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed; conduct site visits at the beginning of projects and support project execution in the field
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including bonus opportunities up to $5,000-$10,000, a gas card, 2 weeks of PTO, and additional benefits available after 6 months.
