Join a growing structural engineering firm in Cornelius, NC as a Project Manager (Structural), where you will lead impactful commercial building projects from concept through construction. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a small, tight-knit team known for strong retention, a collaborative environment, and a growing project backlog that includes colleges, campuses, multi-story office buildings, and newly secured school projects.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Project Manager (Structural) position include:
- 4–8 years of structural engineering experience, with a recent PE or approximately 5 years as a PE preferred; EIT candidates may also be considered
- Independently perform structural analysis and design using manual and computer methods in accordance with current codes and engineering standards
- Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC, with a solid understanding of gravity and lateral load paths in commercial buildings
- Run calculations, develop structural concepts, and prepare and review structural plans, sections, details, elevations, and specifications
- Proficiency with RISA preferred and AutoCAD familiarity required; Revit and IdeaStatica experience are a plus
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, and in-house Revit designers to resolve design and technical issues
- Represent the company at project meetings, pre-construction, and construction meetings
- Perform construction administration tasks including RFIs, site visits, and drawing reviews
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
