Join a well-established and growing architecture firm as a Principal Residential Architect in Washington, where you will lead a respected residential studio with nearly 40 years of history in high-end custom homes and multifamily design. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed architect with strong client-facing and leadership skills to step into a high-impact role, guide a talented team, and help shape the future of a thriving residential practice backed by an established client base and recent growth initiatives.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Principal Residential Architect position include:
- Must be a licensed architect and a residential stamped architect in Washington
- 15+ years of progressive architectural experience with strong residential design expertise
- Lead the residential studio and serve as the principal architect for residential projects
- Build client relationships, represent the firm, and support business development and sales efforts
- Guide and mentor a team of 7-8 drafters and architects while ensuring accuracy and quality of work
- Oversee project design, compliance, budgets, timelines, and overall project execution
- Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Cloud, and related architectural software in project delivery
- Support operational strategy, process improvement, and collaboration with ownership to meet firm goals
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 15 days of PTO, medical, dental, and vision coverage, 100% employer-paid coverage for the employee, dedicated parking at the building, company-paid licenses and associated costs, a hybrid schedule with 3-4 days in the office and 1-2 days working from home, and an annual bonus of approximately $20,000 based on performance targets.
