In this Plumbing Estimator opportunity, you’ll manage the estimating process for commercial plumbing projects and help keep the company operating at optimum capacity—without overloading resources.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Plumbing Estimator position include:
- 3+ years estimating experience in commercial plumbing or related construction; 5+ years hands-on field leadership on commercial plumbing installations.
- Review bid invitations and analyze each project for feasibility, strategy, and likelihood of award.
- Balance estimating workload with the time available to produce accurate bids; communicate bid intentions to clients.
- Produce accurate, detailed, and complete takeoffs; analyze calculated durations for each phase of work.
- Analyze plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, schedules, and other bid documents; identify errors, omissions, ambiguities, and constructability issues.
- Request and review supplier and specialty vendor quotes for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
- Coordinate with Operations and Superintendent on manpower and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Support project handoff, startup, BIM scope collaboration, and change orders as plans evolve.
Salary: $125,000 - $175,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
