This Marine/Industrial Refrigeration Technician opportunity gives you the chance to work on mission-critical ammonia and CO2 systems, cold storage, ice machines, and industrial process cooling equipment with real impact on customers who rely on their systems every day.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Marine/Industrial Refrigeration Technician position include:
- Minimum 7+ years of industrial refrigeration experience; residential-only HVAC experience is not a fit
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial and marine refrigeration systems
- Service ammonia (R-717), CO2 (R-744), and CFC/HCFC/HFC refrigerant systems
- Work on coolers, freezers, cold storage, ice machines, and HVAC/process cooling equipment including water-cooled and air-cooled refrigeration systems
- Diagnose compressors, cooling towers, heat exchangers, pumps, motors, VFDs, and soft starters
- Perform refrigerant recovery, nitrogen pressure testing, and evacuation to 500 microns
- Complete brazing and steel or stainless-steel piping work, including copper tubing and press fitting
- Troubleshoot high- and low-voltage electrical systems and respond to emergency service needs while working independently when required
Salary: $27-$32 per hour, with potential for an increase after 90 days.
