Description
Experience hands-on engineering leadership at a fast-growing, family-owned outsourcing facility in Tonawanda, NY, where your work directly supports reliable supply for hospitals and physician offices. In this Engineering Supervisor opportunity, you’ll lead a small team while overseeing automated manufacturing equipment, critical utilities, and facility troubleshooting in a cGMP-focused environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Engineering Supervisor position include:
- 7+ years in automated manufacturing, including 3+ years in pharmaceutical manufacturing or another cGMP-regulated environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related)
- Lead 1-2 engineers and a small maintenance team, including scheduling, task assignment, performance feedback, and development
- Serve as the subject matter expert for automated manufacturing equipment (PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, pneumatics/hydraulics, robotics) and lead troubleshooting and corrective actions
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce unplanned outages
- Collaborate on facility layout and design improvements, including equipment placement, workflow optimization, utility routing, and space planning
- Work with building management systems (BMS) and critical utilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and compressed air
- Author and review technical documentation to support cGMP and regulatory compliance (FDA, OSHA, ISO, DEA, DEC, and local authorities)
Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
