Description
Launch your career with an established heavy civil contractor as a Junior Estimator in Bronx, New York, where you will help price major public infrastructure projects that shape New York City. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate or early-career professional to join a well-known contractor with more than 26 years in business, a strong NYC presence, and a track record of delivering large-scale projects ranging from $20M to $100M+.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Junior Estimator position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; new graduates are encouraged to apply
- 0–3 years of experience accepted, including internships or co-ops
- Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid preparation for heavy civil and public infrastructure projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents for NYC public agency projects
- Solicit and review subcontractor and material pricing
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to support bid development
- Attend site visits and assist with field assessments
- Maintain estimating data, pricing history, cost records, and support bid proposals and presentations
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including PTO starting at 10 days with up to 15 days annually, 401(k) after 90 days with a 3% company match, an additional cash balance/profit-sharing plan after 1 year, medical coverage through Cigna with company-paid contributions, dental and vision coverage through United, benefits beginning after approximately 60 days, potential vehicle allowance, gas card, EZ-Pass on a case-by-case basis, and possible relocation assistance for strong candidates.
