This Heavy Civil / Underground Utilities Project Manager opportunity focuses on overseeing underground utility and site development work from award through closeout in a team environment built on safety, quality, and accountability.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Heavy Civil / Underground Utilities Project Manager position include:
- 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction, including underground utility projects.
- Manage multiple site utility and heavy civil projects simultaneously.
- Review contracts, plans, specifications, and bid documents; develop project schedules and manpower plans.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors; lead project kickoff meetings.
- Monitor project budgets, production rates, and profitability; track job costs and production against budget.
- Manage change orders and extra work documentation; approve vendor invoices and subcontractor pay applications.
- Coordinate utility installation activities including water mains, sanitary sewer systems, storm sewer systems, force mains, lift stations, and site grading/earthwork.
- Serve as primary point of contact for owners, engineers, and municipalities; ensure inspections and utility acceptance processes and timely closeout documentation.
Salary: $75,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
