Based in East Rochester, NY, Geotechnical Civil Design Engineer will help deliver economical, buildable foundation solutions for real-world projects while growing in a supportive team environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Geotechnical Design Engineer position include:
- Entry-level candidates through 3-4 years of geotechnical and structural engineering experience encouraged to apply; deep foundation/construction industry experience is a plus.
- Review project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to support preliminary pile/foundation design.
- Coordinate project pile/foundation designs and provide design/material recommendations, including Value Engineering (VE) alternates.
- Prepare preliminary designs and coordinate material estimates for package distribution to customers.
- Verify project information is available and adequate for the design process.
- Coordinate submittal completion with the engineering firm within project schedule and budget.
- Review and coordinate revisions while maintaining original design intent and budget; address design RFIs.
- Create and provide CAD drawings and supporting documentation as required.
- Provide technical sales support to pitch VE alternates to clients and project engineers.
Salary: $65,000 - $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
