Description
An exciting opportunity is available for an Electrical Estimator in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, with a well-established electrical contractor recognized for high retention, long-tenured employees, and a performance-based raise system where high performers can grow quickly. This is a great opportunity to join a 53-person team estimating electrical projects for municipal, school district, federal, military, warehouse, and private clients, with project sizes ranging from $500K to $15M.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Electrical Estimator position include:
- 1+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred, with entry-level candidates open to training encouraged to apply.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Perform accurate electrical takeoffs using job plans, specifications, and details shown or not shown.
- Forecast potential issues with project bidding and keep material pricing up to date.
- Create bill of material lists for electrical gear, lighting, and miscellaneous materials.
- Obtain pricing from vendors for materials and services including lightning protection, fire alarm, communications, cathodic protection, and directional boring.
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and second-tier subcontractors on submittals, RFIs, RFQs, material releases, deliveries, and orders.
- Maintain general contractor schedules, submit information timely, resolve project flow issues, and review material lists before vendor orders.
Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
