Description
Bring your structural expertise to a mission-driven, on-site team tackling critical foundation and hillside repair work in Sunland, California. In this Director of Structural Engineering opportunity, you’ll help lead day-to-day engineering operations while staying hands-on with structural design and project execution across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director of Structural Engineering position include:
• 10+ years of structural engineering design and fieldwork, including foundations, seismic retrofits, retaining walls, slope stabilization, timber and steel repairs, and shoring
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Active California Civil Professional Engineer (PE) license and Structural Engineer (SE) license
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA, EnerCalc, RAM, etc.
• Strong knowledge of building codes including CBC, IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE, and other applicable codes and standards
• Lead and mentor a team of Professional Engineers, drafters, and offshore drafting staff
• Oversee structural engineering projects from concept through completion, including performing and reviewing designs and providing technical guidance and quality control
• Comfortable with project management, client communication, field visits, computers/typing, and multitasking
Salary: $140,000 - $200,000+ per year, flexible for the right candidate.
