Bring your bridge engineering expertise to a close-knit team in Moon Township, PA, where your work will help create software used by bridge engineers across all 50 states and more than 40 state agencies. This Bridge Engineer / Bridge Engineering Software Developer opportunity blends civil/structural engineering with hands-on software development in a role built for long-term growth and a strong work-life balance.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Bridge Engineer / Bridge Engineering Software Developer position include:
- Approximately 5 years of bridge design and/or load-rating experience is ideal; open to entry-level through experienced candidates
- Background in civil/structural engineering with bridge design, construction, or load-rating exposure
- Strong interest in learning coding and developing bridge analysis software (prior programming helpful but not required)
- Computer science coursework or a combined civil engineering/computer science background is a plus
- Enhance source code, plan and implement features, and fix bugs
- Translate bridge standards into software, test applications, and support engineering clients
Salary: $70,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience and PE licensure.
