Join an expanding commercial HVAC equipment and service business in Metairie, LA as a Commercial HVAC Service Technician! This is an exciting opportunity to get in early with a growing South Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Coast office backed by localized ownership, a family-oriented atmosphere, OEM equipment exposure, and strong support for technicians working on advanced commercial systems.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial HVAC Service Technician position include:
- 5-10+ years of commercial HVAC service experience, with seasoned leadership ability preferred.
- EPA Certification is required; HVAC trade school, technical school, or equivalent training is preferred.
- Service, maintain, start up, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems.
- Work on air-cooled chillers, VRV/VRF systems, rooftop units, pumps, boilers, and DDC control systems.
- Travel directly to job sites throughout South Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, including areas from Biloxi and Gulfport to Baton Rouge.
- Maintain accurate service records and clearly communicate findings and recommended solutions to customers and team members.
- Demonstrate strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, reliability, and a commitment to safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean driving record and complete required pre-employment screenings.
Salary: $25 - $65 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 40 guaranteed hours, bi-weekly pay, overtime as needed, take-home truck or van, laptop, phone, specialty tools, paid vacation, health insurance with 50% company-paid coverage for employee or family after 90 days, long-term disability coverage at 60% of salary and 100% company-paid after 90 days, $20,000 company-paid life insurance after 90 days, 401k after one year with up to 4% company match, and historically funded profit-sharing contributions.
