CNC Manual Machinist opportunity in Irving, TX! Join a rapidly growing aerospace repair operation known as a top shop in its industry, delivering some of the best turnaround times while repairing critical jet engine components in a high-safety, high-quality environment. This is an exciting chance to work in a family-style shop with flexible scheduling, unlimited overtime, and plans to move into a new state-of-the-art facility that will triple its current size.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Manual Machinist position include:
- 2+ years of machining experience with Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL), Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM), Manual VTL, Vertical Grinders, Horizontal Grinders, Horizontal Engine Lathe, or related manual machines
- Strong preference for VTL experience in a manual machining environment
- Set up tooling and fixtures while following technical drawings, written instructions, and verbal work instructions
- Operate manual machines to remove material, finish coatings, establish part features, and achieve required dimensions
- Perform finishing operations such as deburring, tapping, honing, bench work, assembly, and disassembly
- Use approved gages, tools, and inspection methods to determine required material removal
- Work in a job-shop style aerospace environment repairing components of jet engines
- Participate in repair development projects for new programs or repairs when required
Salary: $25 - $30 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus $2 per hour for 2nd shift.
