Description
Bring your Civil 3D expertise to an employee-owned engineering and land surveying firm in Plainfield, Indiana, where you’ll support high-impact civil site development work across the state and collaborate in a culture built on ownership and work-life balance. In this Civil 3D CAD Technician / Designer opportunity, you’ll translate design concepts into accurate, code-compliant plan sets for a wide range of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil 3D CAD Technician / Designer position include:
- 3+ years of CAD drafting experience in civil engineering or land development
- Associate degree in civil engineering technology, drafting, related field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surface modeling, pipe networks, alignments, profiles, corridors, survey data, and base mapping
- Prepare civil site, grading, drainage, and utility plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Develop construction documents, details, and exhibits from engineer markups and design criteria
- Ensure drawings conform to client, agency, and CAD standards
- Coordinate with project engineers and survey staff to resolve design conflicts
- Maintain organized project files and drawing records; assist with quantity takeoffs and exhibits as needed
Salary: $70,000 - $82,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
