Bring your procurement expertise to a fast-paced manufacturing environment in New Albany, IN where material availability, supplier performance, and cost control directly impact production. In this Manufacturing Buyer opportunity within the Supply Chain Department, you’ll help keep operations running smoothly through hands-on purchasing and supplier coordination.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Manufacturing Buyer position include:
- 4+ years of professional procurement or purchasing experience (minimum required)
- Experience purchasing in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- 3+ years of hands-on ERP/MRP experience for purchasing and material planning
- Experience managing purchase orders, expediting materials, coordinating suppliers, and resolving discrepant material
- Strong supply chain knowledge and ability to apply Lean inventory principles
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Maintain and improve lean techniques for inventory management, point of use stocking, and just in time planning
- Assist with as-needed support across the organization
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Company pays 70% of medical and 50% of dental; low-cost vision; 100% employer-paid short- and long-term disability. 401(k) eligibility after 6 months, immediately vested, 100% match on first 3% and 50% on next 2%. Three weeks accrued PTO (prorated); 90-day probationary period; annual reviews/increases in March/April.
