Description
Build your future with a fast-growing, family-owned concrete engineering organization serving the Midwest and Texas with custom-designed precast and reinforced concrete solutions. This Senior Structural Engineer opportunity is based in Wichita, KS or McPherson, KS, where you’ll help deliver high-capacity concrete storage systems, bridge elements, and specialty underground structures while leading technical standards and mentoring engineers.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Structural Engineer position include:
- 5+ years of relevant structural engineering experience (or EIT nearing PE licensure, with PE required for the role).
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis; PE licensure required.
- Designed precast/prestressed and/or cast-in-place concrete structures using applicable building codes and ASTM/ACI specifications.
- Performed reinforced-concrete inspections and condition assessments, including repair/rehabilitation recommendations and mentoring junior engineers.
- Prepare structural designs and calculations for customer and third-party review approvals.
- Coordinate drawing details with drafting teams to ensure accurate submittal and production drawings.
- Provide technical support to production and quality control teams, including review/approval of ready-mix concrete designs.
- Develop engineering standards and training materials; maintain safety and continuing education requirements.
Salary: $115,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.
