Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechanical/Electrical Field Technician position include:
- 1–2 years of experience with mechanical systems, including heat exchangers, air handlers, pumps, fans, valves, and controls instrumentation; relevant technical degrees or certifications in STEM, MEP, or SCADA are desirable.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with experience commissioning HVAC, cooling, or critical infrastructure systems.
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA, Siemens, Honeywell, and controls integration is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of heat exchanger systems, heat transfer principles, low-voltage electrical systems, electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings is preferred.
- Conduct field testing, functional testing, start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting of critical mechanical equipment at hyperscale data centers.
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and outside stakeholders while serving as a technical subject matter expert and completing accurate documentation and reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and internal software applications, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Work Monday–Friday, approximately 7 AM–5 PM, traveling primarily to local data centers with assignments scheduled in advance; occasional out-of-town travel may be required, with total travel not exceeding 25%.
Salary: $38 - $43 per hour, commensurate with experience, with higher compensation possible for exceptionally qualified candidates.

The position also offers a fully remote, field-based arrangement with no regular office attendance required, except occasional visits for parts or supplies.
