Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Machinist / CNC Operator – 1st Shift position include:
- 3–5+ years of CNC machining experience required, with strong preference for Swiss-style machining and ideal experience with Citizen machines
- Set up and operate several CNC machines while loading bars of material, monitoring operations, and producing quality parts safely as part of a team
- Read and interpret blueprints and apply basic math skills, including decimals and inch-to-metric conversions
- Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial or digital calipers, and optical comparators to verify part quality
- Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust and reprogram controls as needed, and replace worn tooling
- Maintain quality assurance procedures, perform in-process audits, and support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts
- Perform preventive maintenance, follow manufacturer instructions, and help maintain equipment and supplies
- Uphold safe work practices, maintain housekeeping standards, and demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn
Salary: $27-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 100% paid health insurance for employees and family (unless a spouse has insurance available through their employer), 100% paid dental and vision coverage for the employee, a 401(k) with 50% employer match up to 3%, life insurance at 1x annual salary, long-term disability, medical leave, 80 hours of accrued PTO for the first four years, 9 paid holidays, overtime paid at time and a half, every other Friday off with a 9/80 schedule, and a $1,000 per month stipend for employees who do not utilize benefits.
