Description
This is a rare opportunity to join a small, fast-moving engineering team building real, physical products that are used in the real world, not just simulations on a screen. This Mechanical Engineer role is based fully on-site in Inglewood, CA, where you’ll own designs from early concept through production, working hands-on with CAD, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing. The company values engineers who think about aesthetics, usability, and real-world performance—engineers who want to see and touch what they build.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechanical Engineer position include:
- Designing and owning mechanical modules and vessels from concept through production using SolidWorks
- Creating detailed 3D CAD models and drawings, with strong emphasis on sheet metal and manufacturable designs
- Building and testing prototypes using 3D printers and machining, then iterating based on results
- Applying DFM/DFA principles while working closely with manufacturers and suppliers
- Solving open-ended engineering problems where requirements evolve and tradeoffs matter
- Supporting production handoff and system-level debugging in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Contributing to products designed for harsh or outdoor environments
- Taking full ownership of assigned mechanical systems and continuously improving designs
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
