CNC Programmer

highly experienced CNC machinist with over 20 years of experience in the field. They specialize in CNC machining, set-up, and programming for aerospace/defense, medical, electronics, glass, and other products. They have strong VMC and Lathe experience, and are proficient with many different machines and controls, including: Mazak (with Mazatrol), Kitamura, Haas, Hitachi Seiki, Okuma, Hurco, Fanuc and more. Their software expertise include Mastercam, CAMWorks, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.

In previous positions, this person has had proven success working with hard to machine aerospace and glass materials. They have performed both production and prototype work for such well-known clients as Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics.  Successfully set up manufacturing and moved 300 products into production within one year including implementing incoming inspection, final test, supply chains, control documentation, onsite training, debugging, working with engineers to solve production problems, streamlining existing manufacturing process and creating new processes.

Qualifications:

• Over 20 years of experience in CNC machining
• Strong experience with CNC VMC and CNC Lathe
• Proficient with various machines and controls, including Mazak, Kitamura, Haas, Hitachi Seiki, Okuma, Hurco, and Fanuc
• Strong software expertise in Mastercam, CAMWorks, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD
• Proven success working with hard to machine aerospace and glass materials
• Experience with production and prototype work for clients such as Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics
• Jig/Fixture design, refinement of processes, and tooling selection
• Experience with process improvement
• Recently exposed to Water Jet Machines
