This exciting Traveling Superintendent opportunity is located remotely, with a preference for candidates in the Northeast or West Coast, and offers the chance to lead fast-paced commercial retail projects across multiple locations. This family-owned construction company specializes in tenant improvement retail buildouts and remodels, offering steady travel, reimbursed lodging, and the opportunity to work on recognizable projects in a dynamic field leadership role.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Traveling Superintendent position include:
- 5+ years of construction experience, with at least 3 years as a Superintendent.
- Proven experience managing retail construction projects, including store buildouts, remodels, or rollouts.
- Strong knowledge of tenant improvement construction in active retail environments.
- Oversee on-site construction activities for Boot Barn store builds, remodels, and tenant improvements.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, schedules, daily field operations, and project budgets.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, landlords, local inspectors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure adherence to plans, specifications, brand standards, safety requirements, and OSHA compliance.
- Manage closeout, punch lists, turnover, daily reporting, progress tracking, and quality control.
Salary: $2,000 - $3,000 per week, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: 1099 preferred, but open to W2. This position offers strong benefits, including a $30/day per diem depending on the project and location, reimbursement for all travel and lodging, and flexibility to go home occasionally or bring family depending on project assignments.
