Description
Bring your passion for technology-forward building component engineering to a team that’s reshaping how structures are designed across the U.S. In this Structural Designer opportunity, you’ll work from Boca Raton area with in-office training, then transition to a hybrid schedule while contributing to innovative, high-impact projects.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Designer position include:
- 2-3+ years of experience designing building components or related industry experience (EIT candidates welcome; strong entry-level candidates encouraged)
- College-level experience or degree in engineering, applied engineering, or similar technical education preferred
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and strong PC skills; comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Sharepoint, and Outlook)
- Analyze configurations of basic structural components of building components in key departments
- Calculate pressures, moments, shear, and deflection per proper building codes
- Evaluate materials and how they affect structure and design (aluminum, wood, steel, concrete, glass, fabric, and other building components)
- Design drawings, calculations, specifications, and computer models; serve as a liaison between clients, engineers, and designers
- Document repetitive calculations and help systemize re-use to improve efficiency; assist with complex projects as needed
Salary: $55,000 - $80,000+ per year, commensurate with experience. Possibly more for the right candidate.
