Description
Bring your PLC and HVAC controls expertise to a high-impact role supporting custom HVAC equipment from concept through commissioning in the Houston area. Programmer Engineer will help design, program, test, and implement control systems that keep field-installed projects running reliably and efficiently.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Programmer Engineer position include:
- 8-10 years of experience in an HVAC, manufacturing, or industrial controls environment, with PLC programming required (Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley preferred).
- Develop, program, and test PLC-based control systems for custom HVAC equipment.
- Create PLC programs from initial concept through final commissioning.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing, including system start-up and troubleshooting.
- Design and document HVAC sequences of operation.
- Develop electrical wiring diagrams, control schematics, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Perform electrical calculations (MCA, MOCP, SCCR, and wire sizing) and select control components.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials and maintain organized electronic files for programs and project documentation.
Salary: $95,000 - $135,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
