Description
Lead a fast-paced manufacturing operation in NW Allegheny County where you'll oversee daily production, drive lean manufacturing initiatives, and ensure on-time delivery while managing a team of 20–30 employees. In this Production Supervisor opportunity, you'll play a key leadership role by coordinating production schedules, improving operational efficiency, collaborating cross-functionally, and fostering a positive, safety-focused culture.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Production Supervisor position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Industrial Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles is required; SAP experience is preferred.
- Lead, train, motivate, and evaluate a team of 20–30 production employees while maintaining a positive, accountable work environment.
- Direct daily production activities, assign work, conduct floor meetings, and ensure production schedules and on-time delivery goals are consistently met.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, Operations, Customer Service, and Production Planning to improve workflows, resolve production issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive efficiency through 5S, Kaizen, process improvements, work instruction updates, and manufacturing best practices.
- Manage labor scheduling, overtime, production floor consumables, annual capital budgets, and troubleshoot production, inventory, and assembly issues.
- Create production routings, monitor manufacturing performance, coordinate environmental compliance activities, and perform other duties as assigned.
Salary: $65,000-$90,000
Benefits: Regular health benefits, matching 401(k) after 6 months (3% match plus an additional employer contribution), paid holidays, PTO (10 days initially, increasing to 15 days after the second year and 18 days after the third year), and tuition reimbursement.
