Description
Step into a hands-on manufacturing leadership role in Sunnyvale, TX where quality, schedule performance, and a supportive culture go hand in hand. This Production Manager opportunity offers a mix of office oversight and production-floor involvement, with exposure to an ASME/ISO environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Production Manager position include:
- 5+ years progressive manufacturing experience in weld fabrication, machining, pressure vessel, or ASME-regulated job shop environments, including 2+ years in a supervisory/production leadership role (preferred)
- Working knowledge of weld fabrication, machining, fitting, assembly, inspection, and production routing in custom/engineered-to-order manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication/machining drawings, weld symbols, BOMs, routings, and customer specifications
- Lead production personnel (e.g., welders, machinists, fitters, assemblers, and production leads) while maintaining accountability for safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance
- Prepare and manage production schedules to meet shipping deadlines based on forecasts and customer orders
- Allocate resources (labor, equipment, materials), evaluate machine resources, and minimize downtime
- Use an ERP/manufacturing system to manage work orders, routings, material availability, labor reporting, job status, and production priorities
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, ISO, ASME, and other relevant standards; monitor quality, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
