Bring your residential construction expertise to a local, long-standing building materials team in Manhattan, Kansas where your estimating skills directly shape new home projects. In this Outside/Inside Salesperson & Estimator opportunity, you’ll review plans, build accurate material takeoffs, and work with homebuilders and contractors as you help grow new construction business.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Outside/Inside Salesperson & Estimator position include:
- Strong background in residential construction and building-materials estimating (building experience is required).
- Ability to independently read and interpret residential construction blueprints.
- Experience performing material takeoffs and preparing detailed construction estimates.
- Understanding of lumber, framing materials, windows, doors, and other residential building components.
- Comfort working with Togal.AI takeoff software and completing accurate material takeoffs.
- Prepare complete building-material packages for new home construction (excluding roofing shingles).
- Handle inside sales and outside sales responsibilities, including customer visits and relationship development.
- Develop new residential construction business opportunities with builders and contractors.
Salary: $65,000 per year starting compensation, depending on experience and qualifications.
Benefits: 401(k) with a guaranteed employer contribution equal to 3% of W-2 compensation, regardless of company profitability; additional profit-sharing opportunities based on company performance; potential healthcare stipend depending on the individual candidate and negotiated compensation.
