Description

Take the next step in precision manufacturing with a team that supports regulated, high-quality production for aerospace and defense programs. This Night Shift Quality Control Inspector opportunity is based at a manufacturing facility in Elk Grove and it plays a key role in ensuring thin-metal components meet customer and quality requirements.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Night Shift Quality Control Inspector position include:

  • Entry-level to experienced candidates considered; experienced inspectors should have direct quality inspection experience.
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections as assigned; confirm part number, revision, quantity, and applicable inspection requirements.
  • Read engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications; apply GD&T appropriate to the assigned work.
  • Measure dimensions and thickness using calibrated instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical/vision equipment); use CMM when trained and authorized.
  • Inspect thin and delicate parts under magnification for burrs, scratches, contamination, plating defects, forming damage, and other specified visual conditions.
  • Record inspection results accurately; maintain lot and job traceability, inspection status, and required release documentation.
  • Identify and segregate suspect or nonconforming product; document discrepancies and escalate promptly for authorized disposition.
  • Support first article inspection (FAI) when required, including AS9102 documentation, and verify certificates and inspection records within scope.

Salary: $18-$28 per hour, commensurate with experience.
