Build your future supporting commercial HVAC work from a close-knit, long-tenured team based about an hour north of Chicago. This HVAC Technical Support & Parts Specialist opportunity blends technical problem-solving with customer-focused support in an office-based role where your expertise directly helps keep projects moving.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this HVAC Technical Support & Parts Specialist position include:
- 3+ years working with HVAC equipment and components; commercial HVAC experience required.
- HVAC, mechanical, refrigeration, controls, or related technical experience strongly preferred; field technicians seeking an office-based role are encouraged.
- Identify replacement parts using model and serial numbers; read and interpret HVAC schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Provide phone and email technical support to HVAC service technicians and contractors.
- Assist with installation, startup, troubleshooting, and service questions.
- Prepare parts quotes and orders and provide pricing and availability information.
- Coordinate with HVAC manufacturers and vendors regarding technical questions and parts.
- Maintain accurate records of technical calls, parts orders, warranties, and customer requests, and independently manage requests through to completion or appropriate escalation.
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
