This Entry-Level Civil Engineer (EI) – Water/Wastewater role offers the chance to build a broad municipal engineering skill set while supporting water, wastewater, stormwater, site planning, and dam inspections and assessments.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Wastewater Engineer position include:
- BS in Civil Engineering or related field required.
- EI certificate preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Provide CAD drafting support during planning, design, and construction phases.
- Perform hydraulic modeling using SewerCAD, WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, and SewerGEMS.
- Use GIS applications and data to obtain design details and create deliverables.
- Research permitting agencies and jurisdictions; complete application documents and communicate with permitting officials.
- Perform civil engineering design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons, and related technical reports.
- Coordinate with engineers and technicians; review vendor/client/architect drawings and recommend changes.
Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
