Description
An exciting opportunity is available for an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer in Lake Forest, CA with a long-standing, family-owned electronics manufacturing company known for its strong employee retention, positive culture, and high-quality work supporting aerospace and defense customers. This hands-on role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working directly on the production floor, solving real manufacturing challenges, and contributing to advanced electronics manufacturing in an AS9100, ISO 9000, ISO 13485, and ITAR-regulated environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Electronics Manufacturing Engineer position include:
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred, especially supporting aerospace/defense customers
- BS Degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred, or equivalent hands-on Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Strong experience with SMT, PCB assemblies, soldering, wire harness assembly, box builds, BOMs, manufacturing routings, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency with CAD tools, ERP systems, MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and PCB design software
- Create, validate, and improve manufacturing processes for PCBAs and electronic systems
- Troubleshoot production line bottlenecks, failures, and manufacturing trouble spots while supporting production floor operations
- Create ECNs, redline changes, ECO documentation, assembly layouts, job routers, BOMs, and detailed assembly work instructions
- Support quality systems, AS9100 procedures, ISO-9000, ISO 13485, MRB, CARS, SCARS, IPC, J-STD-001, EPA, and ITAR/export compliance requirements
Salary: $88,000 - $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
