Description
Directional Drill Foreman opportunity in Lake Helen, FL, supporting underground utility projects throughout Central Florida, primarily between Jacksonville and Melbourne with heavy work in Orange, Brevard, and Seminole Counties! This growing underground utility contractor has built a stellar reputation as a preferred HDD contractor by combining advanced Vermeer equipment, strong field leadership, and a team-focused culture with clear career growth from Locator to Drill Operator to Foreman.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Directional Drill Foreman position include:
- 3+ years as a Foreman preferred, or 3-5 years of HDD/underground utility experience with strong leadership and problem-solving ability.
- Prior experience with underground utilities, potable water, force mains, reclaimed water, sewer, power infrastructure, or related utility construction.
- Valid CDL required per job description; CDL Class A preferred, with a clean driving record required.
- Experience operating Vermeer, Ditch Witch, or similar directional drill equipment.
- HDPE Fusion Certification, fusible PVC experience, and DataLogger software experience are a plus.
- Lead and oversee a crew of 3-6 members performing directional drilling, pipe installation, utility locating, excavation, fusion, and restoration work.
- Inspect equipment, work quality, job specifications, safety compliance, and crew performance on active jobsites.
- Safely operate drills, fusing machines, mini excavators, utility trucks, hand tools, and related equipment while following all Federal, State, and Company safety standards.
Salary: $23-$27 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including Florida Blue medical, dental, vision, Roth IRA, 40 hours vacation annually, paid Christmas-New Year shutdown, $200 annual boot voucher after 90 days, take-home company truck, fuel card, and rare overnight travel with company-paid hotel, approximately $100/day per diem, fuel covered, and company vehicles used.
