Step into a high-impact, client-facing role helping New York City projects move smoothly through building code, zoning, and DOB approvals. This Construction Technical Project Manager opportunity is based in New York, NY with a collaborative technical team focused on eliminating delays and keeping developments on schedule.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Construction Technical Project Managers position include:
- 5+ years of NYC construction expediting experience required
- Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code, Zoning Resolution, and DOB permitting processes
- New Building (NB) and Alteration Type I experience required; Alteration Types II & III experience preferred
- Architecture background strongly preferred (design experience not required)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and manage projects from kickoff through approvals and sign-offs
- Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, owners, and city agencies; prepare and track DOB applications and permits
- Review plans for NYC Building Code and Zoning compliance, resolve objections and violations, and maintain project documentation
- Issue change orders and proactively manage schedules, risks, and client expectations; exceptional customer service required
Salary: $100,000-$140,000 per year
