In this CNC Programmer - Turning Applications opportunity, you’ll develop and optimize turning programs for a high-mix, fast-paced production setting while collaborating closely with machinists, engineers, and quality teams.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Programmer - Turning Applications position include:
- 3-5+ years of hands-on CNC programming experience for turning/lathe applications, including independently creating and optimizing CNC programs (machine operation, setup, or supervisory experience alone does not qualify).
- Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for single-spindle/turret and multi-axis dual-spindle/dual-turret lathes.
- Create machining process sequences by interpreting technical drawings using GD&T and ASME Y14.5 blueprint knowledge, along with CAD models.
- Use Mastercam (preferred/required) and/or comparable CAD/CAM tools such as Gibbs or CAMWorks; SolidWorks experience is a plus.
- Select and validate cutting tools, toolholders, fixtures, and materials based on part specifications and machine capabilities.
- Work directly with machinists to troubleshoot and improve processes to ensure parts meet quality and workmanship standards.
- Maintain accurate CNC program records, proven .nc files, and setup documentation for assigned projects.
- Ensure machining operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Salary: $48.00 - $55.00 / Hour
